For those of you interested in the 6×6 silk boxes, here is a wedding invitation I designed earlier this year. The 6×6 size is the standard silk box and is 1 inch wide. The holder on the inside of the lid holds the response card, return envelope, and additional inserts. The invitation is bejewelled with a pear shaped Swarovski crystal and the inserts are adorned with small round Swarovski crystals.

I realize that I forgot to share with you Ade’s final wedding invitations. I actually finished back on May 23rd and Ade mailed them off that following Monday. I love the final product! It makes me want to have a beach wedding too! Here are some pictures I took while I was working on the invitations:
Three days after Ade mailed them to her guests I received a phone call from her maid of honor expressing how much she adored the invitations. Ade also shared that she received so many compliments from her other guests. She has posted a customer testimonial on the “Testimonials” page so make sure you check it out.

Johanna and I just completed Baby Shower invitations for my niece Chloe’. The baby shower will take place at the end of May in Los Angeles. This diagonal pocket-fold invitation includes two inserts, one is the invitation itself and the other is the direction and gift registry insert. When I originally started to fill the order the colors were Chocolate and Mint Green because Nicole didn’t know the sex of the baby yet and the shower was scheduled for February. The bun in the oven turned out to be a girl and much to our surprise, Chloe was going to be coming a month earlier than we thought, so we pushed the shower back to May. Okay, so I never found my swatch. The new one is on its way. I ordered it this morning along with some new invitation boxes and holders. I can’t wait for my package to get here. It should take about 3-5 business days (with the amount I paid for international shipping, it needs to be here tomorrow!). I decided to wait to meet with Ade until the swatch gets here. We won’t be able to get much accomplished without it anyway. In the meantime, I’m creating the invitation inserts and the wedding programs. Instead of having a rhinestone buckle on the front of the silk box, Ade requested a palm tree and Swarovski crystals. I found a palm tree embellishment (Google is a wonderful thing!). I think I am going to incorporate ribbon and use the palm tree embellishments as a clasp. I’ll have to think about the Swarovski crystals, because I don’t want the outside of the invitation to look tacky.
